Leg length discrepancies

Having one leg longer than the other can result in poor general health. While a difference in leg length may seem an isolated problem, the entire musculoskeletal system is affected. The position of an individual’s feet in footwear is altered as well as their posture in standing position. It is impossible to achieve a balanced gait or stance, hence imposing undue pressure on muscles, bones and joints. If left untreated, general health and mobility deteriorate, reducing the individual’s ability to perform routine activities of daily living.

By fitting orthoses and building up the sole of general footwear, or by obtaining medical grade footwear, the problems associated with leg length discrepancies can be eliminated, and the individual can return to an active and productive existence.

Restore good health from the feet up!
