Relieve pain from the feet up

Does your big toe get sore: WHY?

When any part of the foot even just the big toe gets sore it makes life miserable.

A high arch that has been unsupported for a length of time is often the problem.  You may wonder how the arch can make the big toe sore? Here is the answer; the arch becomes weak and the ankle collapses dropping anything up to 10 – 25 mm when walking.

This dropping causes the big toe to stretch forward and make the foot 1/2 to 1 size longer, not wider but longer.

Now as the big toe hits at the end of your footwear slowly but surely your big toe and some times all the other toes get very tender. If treatment is not received, toes become more sore and potentially infected. Diabetics need to be very careful of this condition.

Some remedies:

  • Buy shoes or boots that fit you.

  • Get your podiatrist to clean all the nails and hard skin accumulated.

  • Get orthoses custom fitted to your feet and footwear.

  • Have Medical grade footwear custom made.

  • Stretch the shoes at the toe end.

Don’t be toey – check your shoes! Relieve pain from the feet up
