Overweight?

There is much talk these days about maintaining an ideal body weight, being healthy, exercising and staying fit. All of which is very sound advice for a long  productive and healthy existence.

But what if you’re overweight and find that pounding the pavement or working out at the gym in your sports shoes results in leg and lower back aches and pains? Pain is not the sort of encouragement you need to help you continue to exercise!

The solution to the problem of lower body aches and pains might very well be right under your feet.

Overweight or not, if exercise results in nagging lower body discomfort see your footwear practitioner for an assessment from the feet up.

Professional assessment of the shape and position of the feet, ankles, legs, knees and hips may reveal abnormalities that once corrected will allow you to continue to exercise without pain.

Often with the use of medical grade footwear or insertable orthoses, the position of the foot in the shoe is corrected. When correct posture is restored, the musculoskeletal system begins again to function normally, and previously felt aches and pains disappear.

Overweight or not care for your feet and enjoy life!
