Feet and Footwear

Do your shoes fit your feet? A strange question you might say, but think again. Do the shoes you wear fit and support your feet the way they should?

Are your arches supported? Are there areas that suffer blisters, corns or calluses? Do your feet, legs or lower back ache at the end of the day?

If your shoes fail you in any of these areas, you may need to pay more attention to your footwear!

The relationship between your feet and footwear is an intimate and important one. The shape of our feet is almost as individual as our thumbprint. When purchasing footwear, consider the need for arch support; width and length to prevent blisters and calluses; and shoe balance for comfort and stability.

Alterations can be made to general footwear. Alternatively you may consider inserting semi rigid orthoses or purchasing medical grade footwear, custom fitted to support your feet.

When your feet meet your footwear makes it a happy union – your body will thank you!
